Baby

Hello family and friends!

As some of you might know, when we got married, due to Marie’s various health issues, we knew that adoption was the only way for us to expand our family. None of the various adoption options that we pursued early in marriage worked out for us. Distraught and believing kids weren’t on the table for us, we set out to Oregon in 2021 so that Marie could embark on a career change, and to explore another part of the country. While in Oregon several kind and compassionate medical doctors informed us that embryo adoption, which we had been denied for in New Mexico, was actually an option. It took several years of convincing and then a bunch of logistical hurdles, but we are pleased to announce that we are expecting a baby boy in early September 2024!

The little guy is healthy, though we did have some scary complications during weeks 10 through 19. After that we had a new complication come up but it has since resolved.
God has been faithful and we hope for a full term and a safe delivery. Please keep baby boy in your prayers!

Leaving Oregon

It is with sad hearts that we’ve made the decision to leave Oregon to head back to New Mexico. We left New Mexico in a very temporary configuration, figuring we’d only be in Oregon for at most 2 years, and as such need to head back. We will deeply miss all of our Oregon/Washington friends and strongly encourage each and every one of you to visit us in New Mexico!

Baby Registry

For those that have asked about what Marie needs, here is her postpartum/labor list:

Tim & Marie

Tim & Marie were first introduced by a friend in 2014, but we were both too preoccupied with life to make anything of it. In 2015 we both ended up at the same tech conference in Portland, but again missed the opportunity to connect. In 2016 God finally had to take matters into His own hands; He orchestrated our teams at work to collaborate closely for a month and that’s when we finally noticed each other. Marie remembers thinking, “that guy really needs a girlfriend!” And Tim finally took notice of how amazing & interesting Marie was! After making up excuses to stop by her office regularly for a few weeks, he finally got up the courage to ask her out, and the rest is history!
